Who We Are

We’ve put together a team which is dedicated to bringing consistently page-gripping stories that you can count on while visiting The Contribune.

Each of us brings their own talents, skills, and unique stories which shapes each story listed on our platform.

David Miller

David is a graduate of Babson College where he received his BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Economics. After college, he began his career as a private equity portfolio analyst at HarbourVest Partners. During the later months of his time at the company, he would work mornings, nights, and weekends with Julian to bring The Contribune to life. David spent his early years of life in and out of the hospital due to illness and he attributes his early struggles to his genuine interest in helping others succeed.

Julian Wallace

Although born and currently residing in Melbourne, Julian has discovered that life isn’t meant to be spent in one place. While completing his double-degree in Business and Arts from Monash University, Julian decided to participate in an exchange to Babson College where he would form a friendship with David. The two kept in touch over the years, bonding over their desire to help others take the leap to pursue their passions in life.

Jacqueline Hatch

Jacqueline earned a BA in English Literature and Creative Writing from the University of Richmond, and a masters degree in Publishing from George Washington University. She works as an Editorial Associate at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt headquarters in Boston, supporting the Adult General Interest Trade division.
She previously worked as the Content Manager for a technology startup company in San Francisco and as a copyeditor for content publisher Scripted.
She adores writing for the window it opens into other worlds and perspectives, and has a passion for editing that drives her to create clear, concise language.

Charles Daly

Charles earned his BA in English from the University of San Diego, where he got into writing his freshman year. After two years teaching English in South Korea, he transitioned to freelancing full time–he’s one of those guys in the coffee shop with the MacBook Air and a leather notebook. His work has appeared in the Boston Globe Travel section, Thought Catalog, SalesForce’s blogs in the US, UK, and Canada, and ROAM Magazine. He is currently working on his first novel. Charles and David were childhood neighbors, they reconnected to work on The Contribune. Their previous collaborations included a ding-dong-ditching campaign and an epic snow fort with room for all their siblings and a case of blue Gatorade.

Allison Rottman

Allie graduated from Boston College in 2014 where she majored in English and minored in Business. Immediately after college, she broke into the publishing industry on the marketing side working for a publisher in Boston. It was great experience, but she knew that she wanted to be an editor, not a marketing exec. So Allie made the risky choice to switch from her full time marketing position to an editorial internship at another publishing house. It paid off, and she was able to get a full time position when her internship ended. She has been working her dream job ever since! Allie appreciates that editorial work isn’t about “fixing” or “correcting” an author’s writing – rather it is about polishing and refining the author’s voice to help most effectively convey their message.
